“Sonopho” is an immersive sound and photographic experience that makes use of a reel-to-reel tape loop and a set of spherical images to manifest a movie whose image lies perfectly still.

Employing ghosts, discarded spaces, and shadows as its actors, the installation anchors itself within several technological time frames. Daguerre and Edison have a skype chat about the latest shareware audio editors, while a pizza revolves in the microwave. Meanwhile the earth revolves around the sun, interrogating its own shadow: which billionaire will implement planned obsolescence into the genes of those who serve?
