Schattenspender (Embrasser les Arbres),
Brücke Museum’s Garden, 2025

Schattenspender (Embrasser les Arbres) is a participatory artwork concieved to merge relational aesthetics and the tactile process of handmaking. For the 120 Anniversary of Brücke-Museum, hello-loser invited all the museum visitors to become co-creators of a big awning for the museum’s garden.

All the contributions were assembled and shaped into a large functioning sunshade in the studio. A multitude of authors merge into a collective gesture and while the individual disappears, the singularity of each contribution remains.
