The kid hung around in the shared studio and his presence brought play and self-forgetfulness into the space. His singular responsiveness unsettled each artist’s established habits: a simple colour test could precipitate a new field of experimentation.

This situation formed the beginnings of what would later become helloloser. It involved moving with another rhythm and developing an attentiveness to the energies and impulses that flow within a shared working environment.

A dérive unfolded through proximity, shared time, and the circulation of tools and techniques. In this situation, indeterminacy is not a lack: it is a generative working condition.

The disappearance of the single author was a welcome consequence. The works that then emerged did not follow a plan. They grew out of an attentiveness to the situations at hand rather than an intention to produce something for public presentation.
